Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Johnson Service Group (IL) (Dallas, TX) em fev. de 2025
Entrevista
The interviewer was warm and welcoming. She was positive and encouraging. The questions were related to my experience in relation to the job and what the company (her customer) was seeking. She collected enough information to properly sell my skills to the employer. Consequently, I was selected to interview and was ultimately hired.

Entrevista
2 phone conversations and then in-person, all conversational and experience related.
I applied to a position that was onsite in the job posting in Jacksonville, and did so knowingly and willing to relocate.
After the first conversation and me being transparent about my relocation situation, the hiring manager started to say things like "you're so senior we may not need you to be onsite" and essentially started to go down the hallway of saying for me this will be remote position. I thought that it was awesome that he was willing to go down that avenue without me asking for it or pushing for it at all.
I was brought in for an OS, which took me about a 2.5 hour drive. In this OS interview everything seemingly went well and I would say more than half of the conversation was the hiring manager selling the role to me.
At this point, I was honestly expecting an offer. But I got a voicemail that essentially said they found someone local to Jacksonville. I tried to call back 3 times in the same afternoon and got no answer.
This was incredibly frustrating for a few reasons:
- I could not have been more clear about my willingness to relocate. The manager proposed that I sit remotely, and ultimately that was the reason they gave for not extending an offer
- I thought leaving a voicemail for feedback was incredibly inappropriate. I had been talking to them for almost a month at this point, had to take a day off from work, and drove 5 hours round trip to make it in person, but they couldn't give me the respect of a feedback conversation
- I felt like my time was wasted. If the hiring manager had clearly defined that being in Jacksonville was a dealbreaker, he would've saved myself and him a lot of time

There were about 10 questions in a row in my interview. It didn't feel too tough because I thought about things they would ask me before going into the interview. Just do your best answering questions thoroughly and be clear.
