At JJC, there are search committees selected. Usually there is a phone screen first and then either a virtual or in person interview. Sometimes there is a second interview with the Director/Dean of the department. The search committee reviews all applications and chooses the candidates they should bring in based on their education/experience and how that compares to the minimum/preferred qualifications of the job description. Due to the multi layered process, the hiring can take 6-8 weeks from posting to hire if done correctly and swiftly.
