Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 meses. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Joonko.
Entrevista
It's too bad that this company is so disorganized, because their mission is a good one. This was absolutely the most chaotic interview process I've ever experienced. I overlooked multiple red flags because I was excited about what they do and the people I spoke to were smart and interesting. The company dragged the process out over the course of 3 months. They were extremely slow to respond to my messages about scheduling and follow-ups. The HR rep would sometimes just not respond at all, and then a new person took over for her without ever introducing himself or explaining his role in the process. The company also changed the nature of the role halfway through (not a huge deal because it was similar enough and still aligned with my experience and goals, but still). I stuck it out until the end and did receive an offer --- however, it was far too low for my experience level and did not even match the high end of the salary range that they posted. After a couple of rounds of negotiating, they refused to come up to the top of their range and I ultimately declined. What a shame.

Talk about a time when you disagreed with your manager.
The team at Joonko was fantastic- I had a great conversation with my interviewer and HR had the courtesy to let me know that I wasn't selected to continue (which is unfortunately rare). However, their recruiting agency was disorganized and strange. They requested a meeting less than 1 hour in advance, would reach out to me not knowing that someone else on their team already did, and their messages often read more like LinkedIn spam than a comms from a professional agency. I almost didn't take the interview I was offered because the agency made the company seem so chaotic. It's disappointing when I'm putting my best foot forward and recruiters don't do the same. My feedback for Joonko: keep doing what you're doing, but there are better agencies more deserving of your business.

- Typical questions along the lines of "What attracted you to Joonko?" and "Why are you interested in leaving your current position?" - Job-specific questions, kind of quizzing your knowledge - Described the process timeline in detail (which I appreciated)
There were a lot of steps in the process, compared to other start ups:
1. phone interview
2. zoom interview
3. home assignment
4. another zoom interview, presenting the home assignment, and doing another assignment in real time (15 minutes for the task and then presenting it)
5. final interview in the office
The people I met during the process were really nice and Joonko's mission is great. They updated me immediately the day after each step, so that was also great.
The only problem was the length of the process: it is a small start up and you meet the same people in every interview, so it wasn't clear to me why it should be as long as a bigger company's process.
