      Entrevista para Graphic Designer

      20 de jun. de 2025
      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Charleston, SC
      Nenhuma oferta
      Experiência negativa
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Juliska (Charleston, SC) em mai. de 2025

      Entrevista

After nearly two months of being dragged out in the interview process, and receiving high praise during my second interview, I was asked to pay out of pocket to fly out to visit Juliska's corporate headquarters. I was told this was the final interview, and more of a formality right before getting hired. I was also told the CEO would talk to me during this interview, and this was planned a week in advance. After spending over 1600$, and flying out to the offices, I was asked generic questions about my resume, and about what I liked to do for fun. No discussion of the salary, workplace values, or anything implying that this was a final interview. The CEO also was busy when I arrived for my interview, again, while knowing a week in advance when I would arrive. After waiting another week, I got a rejection email. Needless to say, I would never recommend interviewing here. The entire process was way too long and drawn out (2 months! With only 3 interviews!), and HR would take at minimum a week to respond to any emails. Not to mention having to spend my own money to visit the offices only to be brushed aside by the people that said they would be available, and to be asked initial-interview type questions.

      Candidatura

Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Juliska.

      Entrevista

The interview "process" was pretty awkward. It started with the standard "tell me about yourself" portion. The interviewer asked questions about my previous positions and asked why I hadn't been with previous employers long although it stated on my resume that one position I had was an internship and the other I had been with for almost 2 years. She didn't really seem engaged in any of my answers almost like she was doing the interview out of courtesy. She gave me a drawn out description of the previous graphic designer and sang her praises and spoke about all the things she use to do for the company and basically asked if I could do the same thing. It seems like she was more concerned with finding perfect replica of the previous designer as opposed to new talent that could bring something new to the company. Lastly I asked about the workplace culture and she described it as "quirky" and talked about how the company always has food trucks and "wacky hair tuesdays" Immediate red flag for me. Workplace culture to me is more than just pizza parties and dress down days. There was no mention of company morals or values. Needless to say I wasn't offered to move forward, and the feeling was mutual.
