I went through the application process to join The Openwork Partnership via Just Mortgages with full support from leadership. Throughout initial conversations, I was given strong reassurance that I would pass vetting, subject to full disclosure which I provided in good faith. Based on this confidence, I invested significantly in preparing for the role, including purchasing a new laptop and covering accommodation costs to attend the induction course. Despite this, my application was ultimately declined, and communication following that point was minimal and disappointing. This experience left me feeling misled and unsupported at a critical time. I hope Openwork and Just Mortgages affiliated leaders take more responsibility in setting realistic expectations for future candidates before they invest time and money.
