The interview process was somewhat disjointed. I applied in early March and didn’t hear back for nearly two months. The first interview was a virtual panel with six members of the hiring committee who took turns asking structured questions. Everyone was professional and courteous, though the format felt highly formal and more like a series of hypotheticals rather than a conversation. I was later invited for a second, in-person interview with the same committee plus two senior staff. The questions were more in-depth but again a round-robin style of rapid-fire questions. Afterward, I was given a lengthy tour of the studio, green room, break space, etc. by the director and senior production manager - overall an interview that lasted about an hour and twenty minutes and left me feeling optimistic. They mentioned the process would take some time and thanked me in advance for my patience. But after a month with no update, I followed up with the director (who I had been communicating with directly). An hour later, I received an automated rejection email from HR. It was clear they had already extended an offer elsewhere, and forgotten to get back to me. I was so disappointed by the lack of communication given I had made it to the final round and had been asked to be patience for a decision.
