Received an email from HR saying that they were interested in speaking with me. I set a date/time for us to connect for a phone interview. We connected and she explain to me about the company. She asked me why I chose this position? Then several scenario questions related to my current job and how I solve the issues. Finally, she explained the entire interview process - if moved forward, she would contact me to meet with the plant manager. Overall a ok experience until I heard couple of red flags that questions my future there - it's common for them to work 12 hours per day. Once you finish 8 - 9 hours there, you're expected to bring your laptop home to continue working. No background/drug screening checks for all employees. They are used to hiring sex offenders, felonies, drug addicts, etc. I'm not sure how safe this is. They commonly hire foreign workers who speak barely any english and underpay them - minimum wages. At that point, I kept questioning myself if this is even worth pursuing. Over couple of days, I never heard back from them and I'm glad i didn't.
