Initial online application that consisted of an online questionnaire that included simple Maths problems and preferred reactions to work-related scenarios. After this stage was a telephone interview; very comfortable and didn't feel too formal. Only lasted around 30 minutes. The next stage was the assessment centre - they put us up in the Hilton hotel on Deansgate, Manchester for a meal and accommodation the night prior to the assessment date. The meal was a good opportunity to meet other delegates who were going for similar (or the same) internships or graduate programs. The assessment centre consisted of an initial 'ice-breaker' that was an opportunity of us as candidates to 'interview' the assessors in a speed-dating type style. There was then a 5 minute presentation - quite informal and very comfortable due to having met the other candidates the day before - followed by an individual interview with 2 assessors; one who you would be working with directly and another from HR. Finally there was a group task - we were given 45 to come up with a new product for Kellogg's and to produce a 10 minute pitch. This was quite difficult in the time allocated but by this point in the day everybody felt very relaxed so nerves were kept to a minumum
