I submitted my resume online and received an email from a recruiter requesting a phone screening. I scheduled the phone screening for the following week. The recruiter was very pleasant and asked questions about my prior experience. She thought I was a good fit for two open positions and stated she would send my information to a manager for review. A day or 2 later, I was contacted by another HR professional and we agreed on a scheduled date for an on site interview at the end of the week. I met with 2 managers. It was very refreshing to meet with 2 people that were so welcoming and not intimidating. I really felt like we were having a conversation. I was told that they had interviews scheduled through next week and I would hear back by the end of the next week or beginning of the following week. Well, I still haven't heard from Kemper. I was really hopeful and excited about this opportunity, but at this point, I have lost some confidence as it has been a week and a half; however, I was impressed with the people I met. This seems like a great company to work with.

Applied online, went in person for the interview with a couple of white people. Answered all their questions reasonably. Later, I got the email saying I was not selected, You can never be too careful with what is said during the interview when you are middle age, and male Hispanic because they will use it as an excuse not to hire you, but the real reason is that you are middle age and male Hispanic. If you have experience, have college education, bilingual, then why would it be hard to hire you if the position offers training?
