Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 3 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Kenect em jun. de 2022
Entrevista
There were three separate interviews: an initial 30-min screen, a 90-minute technical interview, and a 60-min cultural-fit interview.
The initial screen was fine, talked to a super nice dude.
The technical was okay. The code challenge wasn't bad, it was just a LOT of technical requirements to absorb in a very brief period of time. It was hard to write any code knowing that you were probably forgetting some of the requirements, since there was so many.
My impression was that the guy leading the interview was a Java nerd so he likes other Java nerds. Yet the job listing said 3+ years of Java + Spring Boot. I'm not a Java expert but my knowledge certainly reflects 3 years of knowledge/experience. My real strength the breadth of my Spring knowledge and yet despite it being in the job listing, they didn't ask me ONE question about Spring .
Here's the ridiculous part.... THEY PROCEEDED WITH THE 3RD INTERVIEW EVEN THOUGH I HAD APPARENTLY FAILED THE TECHNICAL INTERVIEW.
The saving grace there was that the two folks at the culture-fit interview were super nice and interesting. But, why waste an hour of my life, where I have to ask for PTO from my current employer, when you know I'm never going to get hired?
