      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Nenhuma oferta

Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Kepler Communications.

      Entrevista

They give you a challenge question before the technical interview. Instead of antenna, the interview was more about RF engineering (e.g. amplifier, noise figure, etc.). The interviewer showed up 5 mins late. In general, this is a small company with a different recruiting procedure.

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou mais de 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Kepler Communications em out. de 2016

      Entrevista

I did the phone interview. The position was titled Antenna Engineer but judging from the questions I was asked, it seemed more like an RF Engineer position (the posted job description was minimal). The phone interview was micromanaged and one hour long. The first 30 minutes was the personality part. The latter 30 minutes was the technical part. For this part, they send you something to prepare before the interview and that consumed at least 3-4 hours of my time in advance of the hour long phone call. They had maybe considered 20-30 seconds for me to ask questions and they gave little explanation about the company or the position or the type of "personality" they are looking for. The technical part was ok. The questions were clear and nothing too difficult or detailed. The personality part made it feel like an interview for a fraternity. I was asked to self describe and say how I would react in certain situations, some of them unclear and hard to picture. There was no need to follow up as they sent me a rejection email within 48 hours. Based on the comments, they seemed to be looking for people with more experience than they have posted in the job description; 2+ years (the posted requirement) vs 4 years (my experience). They also mentioned how the "hectic environment of a startup" may not be what I'm looking for (I had mentioned in my application and in person during the interview that I am in fact interested in working for startups). The tone of the email and a bit the interview process as a whole did seem a little patronizing. That being said, they probably intend well and it's probably their lack of experience that make them not realize it's only fair to be more clear with their seemingly very specific requirements, especially if the candidates are investing time and energy in advance
