I was contacted by email about 24 hours after applying for the position to set up a 30 minute exploratory call. I agreed to go through with the process and thought they would be asking me questions to explore whether I was a good fit. For 30 minutes, all the recruiter did was talk about how accomplished and successful the organiazation is. This was a tad over kill especially considering we didnt even get to the phone interview yet plus the recruiters voice was extremely monotone and sounded extremely rehearsed. After finally arranging a phone interview, the recruiter asked me to fill out an application on their website and take an online behavior assessment. The assessment was very long and although I did appreciate the test results, I was bothered to have invested so much time in the process. The recruiter said I would hear from him within 48-72hrs after the phone interview but didnt hear back until 2 weeks later saying the position was filled.
