Sent in an application; didn't hear back for a while. Then I received a surprise phone call which turned into a short impromptu interview. Unusual, but ok. I was given a take-home exam. That was fine, it was technical with some architectural thinking and coding being tested, with appropriate time and effort. About a month after submitting the exam, I was rejected with a short, impersonal mail. The whole process felt rather lopsided and disinterested.
