The interview process is fairly standard but is brought down by a very difficult mock call/email. You start off with a call with the recruiter, then a hiring manager (they never revealed during the process who the hiring manager was), then the mock call. I've done several mock calls with various companies and this was by far the most difficult. The first added level of difficulty is that they want you send an email as well as run a call. For that, they want you to research the person you're reaching out to as well as their company. However, since they don't give you value props for Klaviyo or any canned responses/common issues/etc, you also have to research Klaviyo and their offerings pretty thoroughly. You go into this scenario fairly blindly, and you don't know exactly what they interviewer is going to be looking for, so to feel prepared you have to spend a significant amount of time that just doesn't feel reasonable for an interview (particularly when the role pays at the low end of the industry). It's also a bit confounding that they chose a company that already uses Klaviyo. Another aspect of the mock call/email is that the interviewing manager will provide you feedback and then you try again while implementing your corrections.

Got an initial phone interview with a recruiter. I was told they were impresed with my experience and told me they will email me the details about the next interview. I send a follow up email a coulple days after but no reponse. I got an email 3 weeks later saying I didn't get it. Please be better at telling prospects you're not interested in giving them the job earlier if thats the case.
