My final interview with the CEO was challenging and, at times, uncomfortable. The conversation was heavily focused on technical knowledge, even though the role was purely sales-driven. Candidates should be prepared for detailed technical questions that may go beyond typical commercial expectations.
Additionally, I was asked about the company’s tagline, which felt unusual for a senior sales interview and not directly related to evaluating sales strategy, market planning, or regional experience.
The overall interaction came across as more transactional and checklist-based rather than conversational. It would be helpful if the interview process aligned more closely with the role’s requirements and if expectations were communicated more clearly.
Advice to Future Candidates:
Be ready for deep technical questions, even if you are interviewing for a commercial role. Review the company’s product documentation and branding materials in detail.
Outcome:
Not selected after multiple rounds.
