I was contacted by one of the VPs expressing interest in my experience as a young engineer within a week of applying.
We scheduled a phone interview that lasted for about 30 minutes going into detail about the company's offerings with experience and compensation. There were also questions about my general interests, background, current position and long term career goals. Well rounded phone interview.
After a few days the VP reached out to me to schedule an On-site interview the following week. The interview lasted for less than 2 hours and was conducted solely by the VP. I was given an extensive tour of the facility visiting each department and met a number of team members along the way. The environment is more laid back than most other companies and inspires self-driven hard working thinkers. They also allow dogs too which is a big bonus for me. Might not be for some.
After the tour, I sat in the VPs office to go over technical questions with RF engineering, system networking, testing procedures, documentation standards, low level circuit design and assembly. We also went over work travel, a detailed breakdown of compensation and more in depth conversations that were mentioned in the inital phone interview.
Overal the experience was pretty good with more high points than low points in terms of answering technical questions and expressing interest in the company. I was told the VP will be conducting many interviews over the next couple of weeks before making offers.
Where things go south is it has been many weeks since my interview and I have not heard any feedback, reply, or information about the position and I have been left in the cold about whether or not the position has been filled. I have been looking forward to working with KTS but I guess its not worth their time to at least tell me yes or no. Comes off as rude and unprofessional.
