1st Round – Aptitude Test:
Conducted online without any proctoring or camera. This creates room for unfair practices. It's recommended that such assessments be proctored to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates.
2nd Round – Group Discussion (GD):
A standard GD round where communication and confidence were evaluated. It went well overall.
3rd Round – Coding Test:
Just like the aptitude round, this test was also unproctored. Without monitoring, there's a high chance of cheating. For a fair recruitment process, coding assessments should be proctored or conducted in a monitored environment.
4th Round – Technical Interview:
This round focused on technical concepts, project experience, and problem-solving skills. I performed well in this round.
5th Round – Technical + Co-founder Interview:
Although this round included the co-founder, it was strictly technical no HR, behavioral, or soft-skill questions were asked, which are usually expected in a final round. The focus remained solely on technical knowledge.
My Thoughts:
After clearing the coding and technical rounds, I believe the final round should focus on evaluating a candidate’s soft skills, mindset, and cultural fit. Testing again on technical knowledge felt repetitive and unnecessary.
Unfortunately, I was rejected in the final round, which was disappointing. I had come so far in the process, and reaching the last stage only to be rejected was quite disheartening. However, I still consider it a valuable learning experience and a chance to grow stronger.
