I applied to Kroger online right before I turned 16. I was not called until I was already 16, as the Kroger Company does not hire people under 16, except under strict regulations. Once I reached the age of 16, I was then called in for an interview a month after I applied. It was required that I had to pass a drug test before I could be employed. The interview was easy, you basically have to convince them that you're responsible enough to remember to come in to work, and that you are not completely antisocial. I then started about a week later.
