Candidatei-me pessoalmente. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Kumon.
Entrevista
I acquired an interview by going to the learning center in person and asked about any available job positions. We scheduled for an interview the next week later.
The interview process was fairly easy. The questions that were asked, from what I recall, were:
1. Do you enjoy working with kids?
2. Are you proficient in math? What math classes have you taken and what were your grades?
3. Are you proficient in writing? What english classes have you taken and what were your grades?

Keep in mind, each Kumon is a franchise, so the interviewing process may differ from center to center. I found the job posting on my university's career site, and submitted my resume and cover letter. Less than two days later, I got an e-mail asking for an interview. The interview was held less than a week later. Pretty typical questions, like "How are you under stressful situations" and "What do you know about Kumon?" After the questions, I was asked to provide my resume and my grades (both high school and university) - make sure you bring print outs! All in all, the interview was 10 min or less. I received an e-mail about a week later offering me the job. A police check is required since you will be working with children (in Canada, at least).
I have been working at Kumon for over a year now. All of the assistants are either high school or university students. I did not have previous job experience before this - just volunteer experience and very high grades.

In the store that I worked at, it was owned by a father and his daughter. In the almost two years I worked there, I haven't seen them post ads about any open positions. It seems that most of the times, people get in through connections. I was able to secure an interview through my friend who was already working there at the time. There, essentially, if you got an interview, you get the job. I have never met one person who got an interview but did not get a job. The interview seems to be a formality more than anything.
