There is no transparency regarding what the role is actually about. I found out an hour into the interview that it's actually door-to-door sales (they call this residential campaigns) and that it is 100% commission based - no base salary offered. Awful company and the interview was a complete waste of time. I cut the interview short as soon as I found out these awful business practises.

I got invited to an interview which was cold calling at peoples houses for 6 hours. When I stuck it out and did it but complained at the lack of transparency I was told that my attitude would need to change if I wanted to work for Kyanite.

To anyone who has an interview or job offer from this ‘company’ I cannot stress enough but to decline and avoid them like the plague. It is an multi level marketing (MLM) ‘company’ which sadly is a legal way to act as a pyramid scheme. Hence their main focus is pyramid style selling, which MLMs tend to do. On interview, being an MLM company and that particular way of selling is what they eventually admitted too. I applied to this ‘company’ thinking you would be assisting in their ‘marketing team’. However I soon found out that, like it said at the bottom of the online job application, as part of that team you would literally be ‘the face of the company’. It was reviled that rather than doing office work that was implied in the job application, I would in fact be doing door to door sales for obscenely long hours a day. The way the job advertisement was written and how little information was given to me about the ‘company’ actually did at my interview was extremely limited, and in nowhere in the initial did it mention door to door sales. Considering that most of the staff appeared to be quite young, it’s shocking to think a company would deem it safe to send young people out to knock strangers doors on their own fairly late at night. At the interview everything is made to to be a ‘get rich quick scheme’ as you can supposedly start your own ‘company’ at the end. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is. Thankfully i did a little bit of digging I found many other reviews online saying that they had experienced similar things about this ‘company’s’ hiring process so quickly declined the offer.
