After reviewing my resume through a job portal, the company contacted me to request my portfolio and several additional documents. However, after that, there was no response for almost two weeks until I sent a follow-up email. Only then did they reach out again by phone and later confirmed the interview via email. While the company appeared professional on the surface, the overall experience felt disorganized at times.
The interview itself was conducted in a relaxed atmosphere, and I was given enough opportunity to present myself and discuss my work experience in detail. The interviewers frequently mentioned the heavy workload and demanding working environment, which I had already mentally prepared for.
One noticeable red flag occurred before the interview officially started. There was casual conversation involving a third party that initially sounded friendly, but carried negative undertones and felt somewhat like gossiping. I chose to simply smile and not engage or comment further.
By the end of the interview, I had the impression that my chances of being rejected were relatively high. Still, the company assured me that they would let me know whether I was selected within the following week. I waited until Friday of that week before sending a polite follow-up email, but unfortunately, I never received any response afterward.
If no clear timeline had been given, I would have understood that the silence itself was the answer. However, since a timeframe was specifically promised but not followed through, it was quite disappointing in terms of professionalism and reliability.
