Interview process was overall professional and quite technical. The first interview was an informal conversation with one of the office directors. We mainly discussed my educational and professional background, previous project experience, and my motivation for transitioning from landscape architecture into consultancy work. They also asked which office location I was most interested in joining. After the first stage, I was given a technical assessment focused on an LVIA (Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment) report. The second interview was an online meeting with the director from my preferred office. We discussed my portfolio, the office environment and team structure, and then went through my technical assessment in detail. They provided feedback on my answers and asked in-depth questions about my understanding of LVIA methodology, including whether I had direct project experience. A large part of the interview focused on technical knowledge. They asked detailed questions about key LVIA concepts and also presented hypothetical scenarios, such as how I would mitigate the impact of a proposed development on local receptors and surrounding views. The interviewers were friendly but clearly looking to assess both practical understanding and technical depth. At the end of the interview, they also recommended several useful reference books and guidance documents to help deepen my understanding of LVIA, which I found very helpful and encouraging.
