I arrived ten minutes early and was happy to wait, however, they were running late, so I waited an additional 15 minutes for them. They had not looked at my resume so I offered mine. When we were walking to the class for my demo, one of the interviewers was talking about her previous night's outing and drinking her fair share of wine. I thought it was odd but, again, I overlooked this. When we finally made it to the interview she stated she didn't like one of the schools I had worked for and didn't understand why HR had set up the interview with me. Her tone became very condescending after that statement. I told her I felt uncomfortable because her tone had changed. The other interviewer chuckled and folded my resume in half before she set it down. I thought she was just going to tear it in half and stopped herself. The "Mean girl" approach was in plain view. I couldn't walk out of there soon enough. I should have listened to the reviews I had read previously as they all validated what I went through that afternoon. It was a very toxic environment!
