Been thru the first interview at 2 Serangoon North Ave 5 Singapore with one HR personnel and one from Engineering site last week (early June). I would say this is the worst interview that I have been thru with the worst interviewers that I have encountered who attack the candidate personally, especially the HR. They start to attack me ever since the first question and getting more sarcastic eventually. Especially when they asked about how much do I know about their company. I started sharing whatever information that I have gotten from their website, and even the company vision, core value.etc that I have tried to memorize. However, she said that she doesn't want to hear those very surface thing like company profile at all and started to scold me for not doing homework before interview in finding out those advance technology they are using now. I would appreciate if she said it in a nicer way and explained to me that actually she was expecting more. However, she did not only not appreciate the effort I have put in to understand LAM research but also giving me a personal attack. The other question that she attacked me the most is when I answered to the 5 years goal question that I hope in the next 5 years I hope I could have been promoted into a more senior position and lead a small team of people. She pointed at the other interviewer and told me in a very sarcastic way that this guy have been working here about 7--10 years before he reached his manager position and she has been working here for 5 years yet she still consider herself a junior, for me as a fresh graduate I probably couldn't do much thing, my training already took up to 2 years. So 5 years? It is too short for you to reach there! This might be the fact that I didn't know, and I am really sorry if I have set a very high goal for myself. However, I really appreciate if you able to phrase your words nicely. Anyway I still want to thank them for effort in arranging an interview with me and wish the next candidate all the best.

During the interview, the hiring manager appeared disengaged and repeatedly scrolled his phone while I was answering questions. This happened several times and came across as disrespectful and unprofessional. In addition, the HR manager interrupted me multiple times while I was responding, which made it difficult to properly communicate my answers. Overall, the interview experience felt unwelcoming and poorly conducted. It was disappointing, especially for a company of this reputation, and it raised concerns about the team’s professionalism and workplace culture.
