I had one of the most positive job candidate experiences, ever, when interviewing with Andrea Bloch, Store Manager for the Rockville, MD Land’s End storefront.
I have been a Talent Acquisition Manager for all of my professional career and always within the services industry. If she were one of my hiring managers during my corporate professional career, in talent acquisition, I would most assuredly include her as a role model for interviewing and engaging job candidates in my trainings!
Not only was I fortunate to have a positive job candidate experience with her, I was also able to see Andrea interact with many of her staff members at the store, during my interview meeting with her. She is personable, respectful, caring and engaged with her staff! She is well received and all of the staff members who were working that during the time of my interview made it a point to come in and out of her office to touch base, say hello and introduce themselves to me, as a job candidate. Her team genuinely likes her! She has true connection with all of her staff.
I knew nothing about the job when I walked into my interview with Andrea. I was excited to learn about it and consider a job opening at the store because I wear Land’s End clothing (my favorite) and I love the Rockville, MD store. It is always clean; the staff is always personable and friendly; I never feel stressed or pressured during my shopping times there.
By the time that I ended my interview meeting with Andrea, I was well informed about all aspects of the business, the team, her management style, and the job responsibilities within the Sales Associate role, for which I applied. And I liked HER.
Land’s End is fortunate to have Andrea as a member of its management team! KEEP HER! She cares, she works hard, she is personable, and she is engaged – she wants the best for all aspects of her job, the company and her staff!
Thank you, Andrea, for one of the best interview experiences I have ever had, in my job seeking days!
