The interview process started well in the first 2 weeks, fast to contact when they have interest in the profile, they used to give updates in less than 48h even if the next interview step were taking long to be scheduled due to calendar management (calls, emails all good), request of references and raise you expectations to get ready for the following rounds.... everything was going as a regular regular recruitment process, or maybe my standards are too high.
After investing time, energy and getting previous managers involved in the process and replying to their reference check in a record time, I receive nothing more than silence. During the last interview I was told that the feedback would be provided next week, the next week came and no feedback were shared. A follow-up was sent from my side and with some days of delay I was told that they were interviewing other candidates and would give me a feedback ASAP. I then got myself prepared one more time, studied their business again, prepared cases and I kept my motivation high.
One more week passed, no feedback another follow-up email, no answer for over 9 days (at the point the interview and the reference checks were done for 2 weeks already). I then insisted and contacted them again to inform that I was still interested and almost begging for a feedback.
That's when I received their email after 3 weeks, being an advanced candidate in the process and have had my references contacted, I felt ghosted. I had to chaise them 3 times in order to read an email "the manager have decided to move forward with another candidate", with the feeling that if I have not contact them, 3 times in my case, I would never have received any feedback.
With experience in the field and in a place where free dedication and motivation can really turn you down as a professional seeking for new opportunities, I have to say that my experience was not good. I wanted and would have write something positive if the same standard would have kept from the beginning to the end independently of the results of the process.
My impression is that once they find the candidate that fits, the others are literally discarded, in the raw meaning of the word.
