I applied online. I was contacted by the potential hiring manager and he verified my credentials and we set up a face to face interview. The interview went extremely well and the job was well within my ability. My salary request was right in the middle of the range they paid. I followed up with a thank you email and phone call. I never heard anything back. When I was interviewing, there was no one in the office over the age 40. I felt that even though I could easily do the job, I think the company did not want to hire someone of my age.
