The interview process was straightforward but delayed. The contract is fixed term, but the cover and the last pages of the job description had different dates. The interview itself started late without any explanation. The interview invite also came a day after the initial proposed date. I had to make some last-minute arrangements to attend the interview. Before the interview, I had to complete a copywriting task and a short 10-minute presentation. I was asked for social media advice, provided lots of ideas. The whole exercise seemed like a free consultation for Leeds 2023. I was asked general questions, but I felt like some panel members didn't even look at my application and didn't understand my experience. I didn't find out about the interview outcome until I sent a follow-up email. It didn't make the best impression.
