I interviewed at LegalMatch, and the overall process took about five weeks. The first step was a phone screen, followed by a behavioral interview with the manager, who came across as a bit dry and asked standard questions about my projects and experience. Next was a technical interview with a predictive analyst from the team, which covered basic concepts in machine learning, statistics, and SQL. The final round was scheduled to be in person with the CEO, but he was too busy to meet, so we did it over Teams instead. He mainly asked about the projects I’d worked on and shared his vision for the company.
Overall, the process was fairly straightforward, but it felt somewhat impersonal since all the interviews were conducted virtually, and no one turned on their cameras, it made things feel awkward and disconnected. After my final interview, the company reposted the job within an hour, which suggested they were looking for someone more experienced who’d accept lower pay while handling ambitious AI and predictive analytics work. From what I gathered, the company seems to be struggling and is trying to pivot from a traditional cold-calling sales model toward a more tech-driven business. Good luck to whoever takes it on.
