This was one of the worst, most disorganized and unprofessional interview processes I've ever encountered. I withdrew from the process after NINE weeks of complete disarray. Here's how it went down:
1. Contacted by internal recruiter on Jan 2, 2022
2. Initial screen with recruiter the week of Jan 17, 2022
3. Second interview with internal team members (would-be peers of this role) week of Jan 31, 2022
4. Third interview with another team of internal peer level team members the week of Feb 7; recruiter did NOT include the web meeting link in the calendar invitation, which I caught about 15 minutes prior to the start time and they were able to send it to me about 8 minutes before the start
5. Just before this interview in step 4, I received yet another contact for this exact role from the same internal recruiter to apply for this role (ugh)
6. Fourth interview scheduled for the week of Feb 22 with yet another peer team member, and again, NO web meeting link provided, so I reached out to recruiter just over an hour in advance of the start time. I then attempted to contact the interviewer to alert them, but their LinkedIn profile did not allow for messages to be accepted. So I wait at the mercy of recruiter. At 10 minutes past the start time, I sent an email withdrawing myself from this insane and ridiculously slow and painful interview process. 5-minutes later I received a meeting link, which I ignored, and then 3 minutes later a simple "oh ok I'll let them know" response from recruiter. NOT a single apology or ownership of responsibility and accountability.
I am intentionally taking my time in my job search as to weed out organizations just like these, and while I'm frustrated, I am even more disappointed in this process. This organization will lose many qualified candidates because of this long and arduous process. TRAIN and develop your recruiters to pay attention to details, to learn people interaction and EQ skills, and mostly take responsibility for actions and outcomes. As a candidate, my time is valuable too, and I'm evaluating your culture based on every interaction with your organization. If your candidate experience is full of friction and disrespect, then I worry about how you treat employees and clients.
I do not recommend this organization in any way, shape, or form.
