The screening process is thorough with a phone screen, testing, Skype interview, and video submission. Then candidates are invited to an interview weekend. This event is pretty intense, but if you can be yourself and be honest it is doable.

The interview process is no joke, but don't be scared! I was a ball of nerves going into it, but shortly after it started I recognized that everyone there has our best interest at heart and wants to make sure you are the right fit and that they are too. Be prepared for lots of questions and getting out of your comfort zone. Lots of down time. Highly recommend formulating friendships through the weekend, it helps to lean on the other candidates, and let others lean on you too!

What is one thing you will have to sacrifice if you come on staff?

In the first round of interview, I was asked baseline ministry leadership questions. Near the end, I was informed that the position I was applying for would not be the role I would be initially hired for. (I was only told this near the end of the interview and not in the posting itself nor in the initial email)
The recruiter made it sound as if this is “how we hire this role”.
Very unprofessional to post a job, offer an interview for said role, only to be told that this is actually a entry-level train-in position which would result in the eventual role after 6months - 2 years of “training.”
Life Church, be upfront with your postings, emails, and interviews. If the position is a “trainee” position then say that up front. Bad form.
