The interview process with Life.Church was quite lengthy, taking about two months in total. However, they did a good job setting clear expectations and communicating throughout most of the process. I initially spoke with a recruiter, followed by several conversations with the hiring manager and other team members.
There were a few moments when I felt a bit left hanging—mainly because I had to follow up myself to confirm interview times or request virtual meeting links. At times, it felt like I might have been a second-choice candidate, which was the case.
Part of the process included a detailed project assignment, personality assessments, and a self-reflection task, all of which were fairly extensive and time-consuming. Toward the end, I began to feel that my time wasn’t fully valued, even though I was making a consistent effort to stay enthusiastic and maintain a positive attitude about the role.
