      Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Lightspeed em jun. de 2023

      Entrevista

      The process was super slow, the company would take an entire week in between steps just to schedule the next interview. The interview with the director was my favorite, he's the only person I met in the company that was great and showed good leadership and culture. Other leads I met seem to have the mentality of seeing themselves above others and seeing development work beneathe them and think that being a lead equals being a manager; a bad bossy power hungry one, felt like there was alot of overlap in responsibilities & redundancy between leads and engineering managers aswell. The technical interview was one of the worst I've had in my 10 years experience, I was asked to answer DSA / leet code questions that are unrelated to the role or the job or what an engineer does on a day to day basis in a freaking google doc, you heard that right, no syntax highlighting, no autocomplete, no formatting, no ability to run and test your code, fighting with autoCapitalization, weird formatting, etc.. then being asked to debug it. Yet another broken interview process with incompetent people who set candidates up to fail.

First of all, we would like to apologize for the slow process, when we face a high volume of applications and colleagues are also out of the office, sometimes things take longer than we would like them to take. Thanks for your patience! Regarding your bad experience in our technical interview, we also want to apologize, setting you up to fail was not our intention, we will make sure our teams are aligned next time around the tools used and exercises presented to candidates. Google Docs are definitely not something we usually use for technical interviews. We apologize, this is on us, we are a growing company and mistakes sometimes happen.
