Today I had an interview with Linde, a Fortune 500 industrial gas maker and distributor. The position I applied for is distribution planner. The main function of this job is to plan and distribute the gases by communicating with customers and gas car drivers. In the Linde’s information session yesterday, I already got to know the importance of communication skills needed for this position. So I prepared some answers for communication questions. In the interview, the interviewer had several questions about communication skills.
The first question is about my experience in how I dealt with customers who were not happy with products. I have dealt with those problems when I was selling pearls in a pearl company. I answered:” First I tried to ease the customer’ emotions by promising to solve the problem, then I checked the products to see if there was any thing wrong with the products. It turned out our products were defective. Eventually I apologized to the customer and gave him a refund.”
The second question was in what way I should communicate with customers and drivers. I answered that I would behave more professionally in front of customers because I am representing my company. I would make friends with drivers because It will make them more comfortable since we are colleagues. Usually, drivers are very casual and willing to deal with people who are affable.

Easy. The same as de all interview. The people are very friendly. The interview is very personal and focus in your skills for the position. Usually they give you a feedback.
