I was headhunted via Linkedin by a senior executive because my extensive experience dovetailed nicely with what they were looking for. We scheduled a video introduction quite quickly. The conversation went well, although it was quite disconcerting to see the interviewer constantly looking at monitors left and right during the conversation with barely any eye contact. We had what seemed like a good conversation, and after asking about next steps was told they were looking to hire quickly and that a representative from HR would be reaching out. A week later I checked back in via Linkedin and was told that yes, an HR person would be reaching out. Tried a week later and was ghosted. Listen, I'm a big boy and have been ghosted before, but if you're going to maintain your reputation as a professional company, don't headhunt a person, indicate interest and then disappear without the courtesy of a one line "we went in a different direction".

I recently went through the interview process at Litify, and it started off on a positive note. The initial communication was clear and timely, and the interviewers seemed genuinely interested in my background and skills. I was excited about the opportunity and appreciated the thoroughness of the process, as it gave me a good sense of the company culture and the role I was applying for.
However, after going through a total of seven rounds of interviews over the span of more than a month, my experience took a disappointing turn. Despite putting in a significant amount of time, effort, and energy into preparing for these interviews and a detailed presentation, I was informed that they decided to go with an internal candidate. This was incredibly frustrating, as it felt like my time had been completely wasted. Moreover, the communication became sparse and unresponsive towards the end, which was very disheartening.
To add insult to injury, after being told they had chosen an internal candidate, I was sent a survey about the interview process. This felt like a slap in the face, given that I had been essentially ghosted after investing so much into their extensive interview process. While the experience began well, it ultimately left me feeling undervalued and extremely frustrated with the lack of respect for my time and effort.
