Super short first interview with the hiring manager, where I was asked three questions to pre-qualify me, then lengthy second round where I was told I would hear the outcome the following day. No more rounds and no tasks. A week went by I was asked to do a task as the "calibre was so high". This task was required over a weekend. I supplied it in plenty of time and then heard nothing further until I sent a follow up asking when I was likely to hear. Received a curt email from the hiring manager saying she would be in touch with all candidates next week. I knew from there I wasn't getting the role, but I then received an email today (two weeks after the task was required) which was a generic email from someone in HR saying I wasn't successful and "if I wanted feedback" I could let them know. Given that this was after final rounds and further work, I'm quite shocked at how they handled the outcome. Maybe it's me, but a generic email from HR at the end of the process and no contact from the hiring manager is incredibly impersonal and disrespectful to a candidate. I would have thought a company like Live Nation would have a more respectful approach.
