I applied online and received an email asking for me to interview and what my salary requirement was. After a video interview and an in person interview I was offered the job and a salary that was less than 2/3rds of my previously identified minimum salary. I was told by HR that salary is based on a number of factors including experience/length of time in the industry. In my interview I was told how applicable and valuable my specific experience would be to the team. I would not have wasted my time had they simply told me initially that they could not approach my required salary. I was very disappointed.
