Practical Assignment: Successful candidates are then asked to complete a practical assignment. This assignment is a crucial step in our evaluation process, allowing us to assess their design knowledge and software skills in a real-world context. This assignment is designed to be completed within a reasonable timeframe and at the candidate's convenience, allowing them to showcase their abilities. Offer Presentation: Upon successful completion of the assignment, we proceed with an offer presentation, outlining the terms of employment. Regarding your specific concerns: Unpaid Work: We understand your concern about the practical assignment being perceived as unpaid work. It is important to clarify that this assignment is a part of our evaluation process, similar to how other professions may require portfolio presentations or skill-based tests. It's a method for us to gauge the candidate's practical abilities and ensure they possess the skills necessary for the role. We believe this process is a fair way to assess candidates and maintain the quality of our team. Personal Questions: As previously mentioned, we do ask questions about a candidate's socio-demographic situation. These questions are asked within the context of ensuring the candidate's ability to perform the job, comply with legal requirements, and understand their ability to work on site. We aim to ensure that all team members are able to reliably make it to work, and have the correct paperwork to legally work in Sweden. We regret that you felt our interview process was a "scam."
