Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Lockheed Martin.

      Entrevista

Two words describe HR in this interview process; incompetent and unprofessional. The short version is this; I was stood up three times for a phone interview and the emails from my HR Coordinator (who I had to chase down for information) were a mixture of wordless Google Calendar invites, emails meant for other people, and full of typos and grammar mistakes. If you want the very long and ranty version, read below. I was contacted on a Thursday with three emails. The first one was meant for someone else, and the second was for an in person interview on Tuesday in Marietta Georgia (I live 700 miles away). Now, Lockheed Martin is a name I've known since childhood and I wanted, and still do, want to work for them. With that in mind I was hustling to find a way to Georgia for this interview. Thankfully the HR Coordinator handling my recruitment realized this and sent an email clarifying that I would be having a phone interview on the following Tuesday at 10am. Monday night I receive a calendar update with no explanation for an interview the next day at 2pm. Is this a second interview? Was the first one canceled? I wasn't told. I was annoyed by this because that meant I had to reschedule with another recruiter who I had scheduled to meet at that same time, but I did so. Tuesday rolls around and I get a phone call at noon from the same HR person handling this process, saying that the interview would be taking place at 1pm instead. I wait an hour and no call comes. I wait two hours and no call comes. I called the HR person back and she made some apologetic excuse and said that I would have my interview the next day (Wednesday) at 11am. I didn't. Wednesday rolls around, and I get no call. This time I wait a day before contacting the HR Coordinator because maybe it's a misunderstanding and I want to be accommodating , but I don't hear from her. Again, I call her, leave a voicemail, and send her an email letting her know that my interview call never came and that I'm still interested in interviewing for the position if the offer stands. A week goes by and I get no response. It also bears mentioning that someone, I can't prove who, manually deleted my application from the Lockheed Martin job site. With no small amount of frustration, I called the facility where the open position was located. I told the woman who answered the phone that I wasn't contacted for my interviews for job ID#XXXXXX , that I couldn't reach my HR Coordinator, and that I was still interested in interviewing if possible. Unlike my contact so far, this woman was very polite and helpful. She asked my name, verified the job I was interested in, and asked for the HR Coordinator's information. She informed me that HR would be in touch shortly and I profusely thanked her for her time. A few minutes later I received another calendar invite for a phone interview a few days away from my same HR contact, again with no explanation or apology regarding the previously missed two interviews. I accepted. Two days later I receive an email reading; "It is with my deepest apologies. This position was filed, and I was not aware and forward you an interview request. I do apologize. However please feel free to visit our site for any other job postings." Bad enough that she was content to ghost me after the first two interviews but it's insult to injury that this could have been written by a nine year old. Yes, I'm bitter about my experience but I also sympathize with other job seekers who may have the misfortune of dealing with the same person I did. Lockheed, you need to square away your HR personnel in Fort Worth, because when they can't spell 'warm regards' properly in an email, there's a problem.
