Spoke briefly to the HR person before an interview with the new VP was scheduled. The interview lasted 45minutes and consisted mostly of them speaking about themselves, how the role was new to them and how they had gotten a promotion at their previous role prior to taking this one. It was a very self-involved interview and didn't create much confidence. 2 days later, I received an email with no feedback, simply stating they would not be moving forward.
