They had 4 rounds. First was with hiring manager. Pretty good round giving brief about the company and detailing the job profile. Second round was technical interview. It was in depth technical round. Things were pretty good and they are quite happy with me at the end. Clearing this round they sent out an elaborate case study to work on. I did timely finish the case study and submitted it. Then the last round was with the founder, which they skipped and directly offered my a position of Tech Lead based on my current CTC. When I asked them about why so, then they said that based on your technical interview we think you are more suitable for that. Then I asked further then why was the case study given, was it even checked and then they just said I don't fit their requirement at all. Shouldn't have wasted my time if they are not clear on what they want.
