I was unsure if I would get the job as my only prior serving experience was from Denny's. In the past that had hindered me as it was seen as lesser experience (even though I would argue the opposite). I went in preparing to make my case, but instead the manager saw the experience as a positive. He asked was warm and made me feel comfortable.
