Chatted with the CTO over video chat. Mostly HR talk and into my technical background (not listed in the job requirement) Was assigned a take-home project relating to their app/project. Did it in 2-4 hrs, then sent it to him only to find out, he wanted me to do another project extending off my first project which had vague instructions and seemed more like what they wanted their app to do. In all honesty, it wasn't that difficult, but it would be extremely time-consuming and seems like it requires some expert knowledge of some API to make it work, which seems kinda over the top for an intern position. I couldn't tell if I am being scammed since strange startups are known to leech free labor off in interviews by just having desperate interviewees do a portion of the app/product in question. Very sketchy and decided not to pursue further.
