      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Lowe's Home Improvement (Cleveland, TN) em abr. de 2010

      Entrevista

I applied for this position trough Lowe's website. The application process is very simple and at the end you must take an assessment test for your application to be accepted (mostly questions about how you would handle certain situation and questions for personality.) The very next day I received a call from the HR Manager to come in for an interview with him on the next day. I had considered what to wear for the interview, since Lowe's has such an informal dress code; I figured since it was for a management position, I dressed nicely to be well presented (dark brown dress pants, with brown dress shoes, a nice button-up shirt, and tie.) I showed up about 10-15 min. early (always a good idea) and the woman at customer service pointed me in the direction to the HR office. I met with him and he first explained the position in more detail and gave me a more in-depth copy than what was posted online. Then the interview began. The way Lowe's does it, they have a worksheet with questions already written for the interviewer to ask. They take notes on your responses and then they have an area of where they rate how well you answered it. Pretty much strait forward with no real curve-ball questions (lasted about 15-20 min.) After that interview, he immediately set up an interview with the Administrative Manager over that Department (he would be my direct supervisor.) Interview went pretty much the same way with a pre-made question worksheet, pretty straightforward (again, about another 15-20 min.) After, both interviews, the HR Manager and the Admin. Manager spoke in private to decide whether to move on. They decided to move me on to an interview with the Store Manager, who has the final say. This would have all happened in one day, but the store manager was off this particular day. The next morning, I came and met with the Store Manager and he didn't interview me like the others. He just asked two questions just to get a feel for me and it was mostly conversational with him (focus your interview on your actual supervisor because they seem to be the one with the ultimate decision, the Store Manager just had to make sure they were making a good decision; understandable.) Then he offered me the job.
