Initially interviewed for Lead Chemist at 42k, told I wasn't quite the right fit but they would consider me for TSE role at 36k, so I agreed to an in person interview for this. The interview was quite easy and smooth, technical questions about working within a QMS mainly and some Chemistry discussion, but the job description being described was different to the job spec I had received. I was offered the job 2 days later but for 33.5k only and I was told the flexi contract was only available after a 2 month training period - I live a 2 hour commute away and specifically stated I could only consider the role if offered on a hybrid basis, 2/3 days per week at home - during the interview and telephone conversations, this wasn't an issue. In the end I rejected the offer and would have preferred a bit more honesty - if I had known then what I know now I wouldn't have agreed to interview.
