Interview Experience of LumenData Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., 2nd Floor, GNS IKON, Kadubeesanahalli, Outer Ring Road, Bangalore - 560103 August 10 2017
The Profile was Assosiate Java Consultant which was having 3 years Agreement and the package was 2.5 lpa (The comapny is small and there was No Cab Facility).
On First Day Total of 2 Rounds.
1st Round is having 3 section
1)Logical Reasoning 20 Q (Image Transformation Kind...)
2)Aptitude 10 Q (Probability,Speed and Time,Work and Time...)
3)Technical 15 Q (Based On Method Overriding,Multithreading ,Finding Output...)
Time Limit was 45 min i dont remember Properly....
2nd Round is F2F
He asked me all about how good i am in Java , RDBMS and Mainly on Data Structures.
He asked me lot of questions on Java (Such as Difference between Array and Arrays,Why we use asList method of Arrays, What is Synchronized Keyword,Diff btw Method Overloading nd Overriding,HashMap and Hashtable difference)
Then Database questions like Diff btw delete and truncate,Relational mapping in RDBMS,SQL Queries.
Then he asked can u implement linked list programs in Java without using inbuilt class(Without using Collection Framework).
They called me next week for 3rd Round.
3rd Round was again F2F He asked me Questions on Java such as is a Hello world program in Java follows a Object Oriented Concept,Difference between StringBuffer and StringBuilder.
One coding question There is a String like "I/ lov/e /Ind/ia".we have to break the string on the basis of "/" char and store it into other array of strings without using any Built-in methods of Java(Specifically not to use StringTokenizer and split method of String Class)
He asked me how to achieve many to many relationship in RDBMS.
And finally asked whether u know how implement linked list programs in Java without using inbuilt methods of Collection.
4th Round was again F2F He asked me how to achieve many to many relationship in RDBMS using Real time Example (Asked me to write table structure ,Primary key,Foreign Key etc).
Then He asked me to write Merge Sort Program in Java.
Then He asked me to write HashMap inbuilt class in Java (Methods of HashMap class such as put,remove).
They told me to call after 1 Month when i called they arranged Managerial Round for me.
My all above round are specifically 4th round was so rude.I felt very frustrated while giving my interviews.But in 5th round the manager was not rude at all.
5th Round was Managerial round Here he asked my College Background ,Projects and many things.
Then he asked me some of Operating system concept such as Mutex Vs Semaphore(The Subject Which i was hated the most) and concepts of OS.
I did not understand why he asked me OS concepts and Questions.
Some of Aptitude Question like Perimeter of a Shape.
Given 25 Horses and i have to find top 3 fastest horses without using watch.But i can race maximum of 5 horses at a time.The main thing is find in how many races i can find top 3 horses.[Solution is in 8 Races we can find]
Then next round will be Assignment.You will be working in small Assignment for 1 week in that company and they willl pay 1000 Rs as Travel charges for u. if u finish that work u will get offer letter.
I did not think of posting this post before 2 months but when lot of people started asking about LumenData i thought it is better to post now.
To crack these type of interviews u must have a deep knowledge in Core Java Concepts, Data Structures and RDBMS.Only attend if u prepare well otherwise u feel very frustrated because they wil send u out directly if u dont know any of 3 Subjects(Core Java,RDBMS,Data Structures).Be prepare well for the above mentioned questions.
