First you will talk with an HR person, then the CEO Kuty. I had talked with the HR person a month before and was ignored completely when I sent any follow-up emails. I don't know why I gave them a second chance, but I ended up applying for the job again because I assume they just reposted the same one (as far as I can remember). This time it was an interview with Kuty.
Much like everyone else has said, he is not interested in fulfilling your salary requirements. For a full-stack kind of position (which I think is what it was, it was a least a backend position) he was offering only $28 an hour! He tried to turn me into an entry-level applicant instead of recognizing my accomplishments. Also, he tried to convince me that C2C means LESS taxes than an employee would pay. When I told him that was nowhere near my expected pay, he quickly ended the call.
Based on that experience alone I would not recommend working for this company.

First, you were required to submit a form based application with pretty straight forward HR questions. Next you recorded video answers to 5 pre-recorded questions. I was then sent an email saying they liked my videos and that I would have an interview via hangouts. After my interview went well, code samples were requested.

I actually enjoyed the initial video questions and thought it was a good idea to get a look at potential candidates. I also enjoyed speaking with a person from HR and the interview went very well. The questions were not difficult, nothing technical besides if you were familiar with agile, slack, etc.
The salary offer was lower than my specified range (which was asked in the initial application form) but with the pre-tense of being a 3 month trial salary.
I was asked for code samples so I sent them my github. The code reviews came back with positive reviews and I was told I was a good fit for the company.
This initial interview was at the beginning of August and we corresponded back and forth with nothing but positive feedback for a few weeks while they got their project together.
I was told the potential start date for the project, sent a detailed stack and was fully led to believe that I would soon be working for Clevertech.
I got an email asking for a quick hangouts meeting. I responded to the email saying "Hey anytime!" then never got an answer back.
The start date of the project that I was supposed to be working on came and went. I emailed Clevertech asking if the project was put on hold or if they found a more suitable candidate. I still got no answer.
Overall, something that started positive quickly turned negative and over something as simple as having the curtesy to respond an email.
I appreciate you taking the time to review our process.
