      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Nenhuma oferta
      Experiência positiva
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Lutron Electronics.

      Entrevista

The process was done through a third party that is paid for by Lutron. Felt a confusing to be interviewing with basically two companies at the same time but all in all it was what you would expect. Normal questions about your background and how you see yourself in the role and the potential for the future.

      Perguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pergunta 1

Do you have knowledge of lean manufacturing

      Entrevista

The interview process went straight into the technical aspect, they didnt bother asking about my resume. 2 engineers were present. When you felt stuck in the interview, there was no guidance.

      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Nenhuma oferta
      Experiência negativa
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 7 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Lutron Electronics em jan. de 2020

      Entrevista

They want to move in the right direction, but their recruiting team is a joke, they don't approach the right candidates for these positions. I got a call from a recruiter for the Senior supply chain engineer. The interview process is very straight forward, I first received a call from a recruiter, had a phone screening with the recruiter, then a phone screening with the hiring manager. The hiring manager told me that I was a better fit for a New Product Manufacturing engineer. They were looking for someone with a PFEP, plan for every part experience (which I had) but they felt like I was better suited for manufacturing.

      Perguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pergunta 1

Questions from phone screen: 1. How do you solve a problem? 2. Give me an example of a problem that you solved? and follow up questions based on my answers. 3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Some of my friends had a Case study based interview, depending on who the interviewer is, but all they care is how you approach a problem. On site interview: They asked me to complete a 2 hour long Caliper test before setting an interview. Further, they verify your GPA to make sure everything is above 3. They rejected me first because they did not know how to convert a GPA on an Indian Scale into american scale. I had to use WES's GPA calculator tool to justify my GPA. I felt really frustrated when they asked me to provide more evidence. My interview visit I was really impressed by the company at first, they have a good company culture that focuses on innovation a lot. Interview questions: All electrical engineering related questions, I am an engineer after all, but not an electrical engineer. I fail to understand why would they ask deep electrical engineering related questions when interviewing a Mechanical/Industrial engineer. 1. Draw a circuit of a bulb connected to an outlet. 2. Calculate the current. 3. Calculate voltage across the bulb 4. Similar questions based on the same circuit, like how would you change the brightness of the bulb, Calculate the power wasted if we add a resistor for controlling brightness, etc. 5. A lot of questions related to thermodynamics, like how would you cool a surface while using natural convection. ( First they asked different types of heat transfers) 6. Questions related with a case study, where a switch was failing, questions about sensitivity of the switch and how to change it through a mechanical standpoint. Round 2. They ask you to troubleshoot a problem, you're given a list of contacts and they give you hints as we proceed. After everything, they did not offer me a job, even when I was able to answer all technical questions, to this date I ask myself "what the heck they wanted?"
