Only phone screened, but she was only in the job about 6-8 months herself. A lot of these startups are full of managers and directors with zero experience in their current industry. They usually came straight out of business school and/or finance and/or consulting so they are a deer in head lights, but their ego refuses to let them back down. I would suggest you find a job at legitimate companies if you're not in it for the long run. Save yourself the egos, the politics, and the headache of dealing with higher ups who don't know anything about their business or about managing people with actual experience.
