I had interviews for internships with two projects at MITRE. The interviews consisted of a phone call with project leads. The interviews are heavily influenced by the project lead's desires and needs for the project. They focused more on my interests and experience than my technical abilities.

Average experience. Had a call with directly with leadership. Asked me about my resume and experiences. Additionally, they asked me about my future goals. Did not go past the first round interview which was a 30 minute behavioral.
